
Many restaurants offer domestic specialities. Tradition meals of the island Krk are: domestic olive oil, salted fish, minestrone (vegetable soup), polenta with fish stew, lamb roasted under the bell, gnocchi with " žvaceta" (lamb goulash), " šurlice" (tick noodles) with lamb goulash, fish and sea fruits, fish salads of everything spiced with bay-leaf, rosemary, tomatoes, olives and other Mediterranean spices. The island inhabitants are very proud with their tradition and history.
